As of late I've been doing whatever it is I please... I've figured as long as I'm happy and no one is harmed by why should I worry. If you don't want to be my friend because sometimes I have colored eyebrows, then we probably weren't friends to begin with. I think one of the saddest we human do is seek approval. But on to the lips

Step 1: Line lips with black pencil

Step 2:Darken corners and cupid's bow

Step 3:Apply pale pink lipstick to center of top and bottom lip(I'm using AVON Color Rick in Teaberry)

 

Step 4:Apply a hot pink w/ slight bluetone around the teaberry (from black Opal's Screen Gem lipgloss duo)

 

Step 5:Apply deep purple around the perimeter(from black Opal's Screen Gem lipgloss duo)

Beige Feature: Kevin Monroe

The best poet to touch the mic in a very long time Kevin Monroe is definitely on my artist to watch list. Center of attention is the story of a rise and fall like no other, his lyrics hit the nail on the head, capturing emotions that many popular artist fail to. The way he receives abstract is amazing, but you have to hear it for yourself I guarantee you'll fall in love with it.


 

Center of Attention is my debut mixtape, but not only that, it's a story. Like another other story, there's a plot, or purpose behind it, guiding the listener along the way. This particular story is about wanting to and being in the lime light, the struggles involved and the eventual downfall of certain characters throughout.

I've been working on it all summer and didn't start recording til about the end of August once everything was written. I wrote EVERYTHING that can be heard on the mixtape (aside from "The Perfect Lie" which was composed by a friend of mine). My style as a lyricist (hate the term "rapper") is similar to that of a poet. I try to incorporate tons of concrete images to convey emotions to my audience. Something's cannot be explained in words, such as abstract feelings like love, heartbreak, depression, etc. My lyrics and imagery are the tools by which I trigger the mechanisms of human emotion.

The Realness: part I

I've been really wanting to post more often but as always I'm at a camera disadvantage and my room is a pigsty, it's completely disgusting. Every time I go to clean I get so far, before I break down and start crying at the fact that I even let it get this bad, which is really sad because I have so many DIYs, thrifts, outfits, and hairstyles I want to post before I take my twist down. Wish me luck as I take on the daunting task yet again. My blog isn't about perfection it's as slightly off as I am. I do my best to give you guys the realness.
